I have attended a variety of events where I have been interviewed, participated in discussion panels and talked about my books and the topics they cover. I always have plenty to say!

Interviews

  • Various interviews – such as with Radio Five Live and Radio Norfolk about relationships and sex education (RSE) and an interview with BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio London about emotional intelligence.
  • An interview with The Muddy Puddle Teacher. I discuss my books, emotional literacy and wellbeing generally.
  • The Early Years Summit, twice with Kathy Brodie
  • An interview where I arrive late and sideways for My First Five Years!
  • An honour to be interviewed by Dr Helen Maffini at the Preschool Mindfulness Summit.

  • Talking at the Festival of Education about the magic of EQ (emotional intelligence).
  • Appeared for an interview on Maltese TV with/Ma’ Steph.
  • A talk and participation in a discussion panel at Camp Bestival about sex education aimed at parents and carers and their children, as well as a session on emotional intelligence.
  • An interview about emotional literacy and wellbeing with The Teacher Hug Book Club.
  • An interview with The Lady magazine.
  • An interview about supporting children to become more emotionally literate for the ‘Mastermind Your Parenting Journey Summit’.
  • Various videos for promoting my books and the topics they cover. For example: It’s OK to Cry and The Same but Different.
  • A video for Authorfy on The Same but Different.
  • Various Library talks.
  • A talk about positive mental health for Bloomsbury Publishers employees during their wellbeing week.
  • An interactive session on combating anxiety for parents and teachers for the charity Amnesty International.
  • School tour in Malta – delivering assemblies on emotions in each school and an event at the National Literacy Agency.
  • An interview for a blog post with Incredible Eggs.

Other public performances have included:

  • Champion of the first Red Balloon Debating contest! Six knock-out rounds debating democracy.
  • Ran a workshop and delivered a performance for Tilted Women at Norwich Arts’ Centre.
  • Six-time participant of True Stories Live
  • Various characters to support the theatre productions of The Common Lot
  • Several wedding and birthday speeches and performances
  • Front person and fiddle player in a Klezmer band (Klunk)for five years
  • Compere at a local music festival
  • Opening night speech for Norwich Food Cycle
